Quiet Hours
The Quiet Hours
You are covering the night shift at the Ashgrove Hotel.
Your shift runs from midnight to 6:00 AM. The man you are covering for is named Doyle. He did not say why he needed the night off. He only said: don't go past the second floor after three.
The building is old. The lights flicker. The front door is chained from the outside. Somewhere upstairs, a door closes.
You have until morning. Or you have until you remember.
What this is:
A short text-based horror game. No sprites, no 3D, no video. Just rooms drawn in ASCII, a clock that keeps moving, and a hotel that does not want you to leave.
- Playtime: 30 to 45 minutes per run
- 8 endings
- 3 acts that shift automatically as the night goes on
- Items you can find, carry, and use to unlock different endings
- Jumpscares that fire once per playthrough
- Ambient audio that changes with the time of night
- Runs in your browser. Nothing to install.
How it plays:
You read. You choose. The clock advances with every choice you make. At 2:00 AM the lights go out. At 4:00 AM the third floor opens. If you make it to 6:00 AM, the night ends.
Content warning: Death, fire, implied child death, grief, psychological horror, sudden loud sounds.
Made in Godot 4. Text only. Play with sound on.
